About BIRD

BIRD started with a simple question: Why does cycling apparel sometimes feel unnecessarily complicated? Designs from bigger brands are getting more bold every edition, while we at BIRD feel like inspiration should come from one of the reasons we all love cycling, nature. We took a step back, and created a nature inspired shirt with a timeless design and neutral bib shorts.

BIRD was born not as a brand trying to reinvent the wheel, but as one aiming to do things better. We want to do this by combining a timeless natural design with good quality, at a fair price. All our cycling jerseys are fully made from recycled materials, as we want to offer a cycling kit in a natural and sustainable way. The kits are made sustainably and designed to last, both in design and durability.

When cycling, you’re in the middle of nature, which is what has drawn us to cycling in the first place and what makes it so beautiful. The design of our kits came together by drawing inspiration from nature and everything you see while cycling. What you encounter along the way, and the colours that stand out, form the basis of this jersey. This first two designs are inspired by the striking colours of two types of kingfishers.
